Terms and conditions for The Scarlett Ivy.

In these terms and conditions of hire, the following meanings shall apply:

“we, us, our, I , my” The Scarlett Ivy.

“you, your” refers to the named person on the booking.

“your hire" means all arrangements and items sourced and organised for you by us.

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and you should therefore check them each time you hire items from us. The terms and conditions applying to your hire will be those in place on the date that you make your reservation.

Table Linen- cloths, runners and napkins

If wine, food or candle wax or any other substance stains the linen, or fabric are torn, burnt, damaged, the replacement cost will be chargeable and payable by.

Prices quoted for Items to be hired, are for a one day period, unless otherwise specified on your booking.

Any damaged or missing items will

Be chargeable and payable by you at the replacement cost.

Items to be hired can be secured with a non-refundable booking fee, subject to availability. Once payment of your deposit fee is agreed you are hereby accepting out terms and conditions.

Full payment is required one month before the hire date or on the terms sent in the initial agreement. If the date of booking is for one months time full payment is due on time of booking.

If full payment is not received by one month before your date then the deposit fee will he kept and items may be hired out to another party.

Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel, we will need your cancellation in writing, your deposit will be non refundable as we incur work prior to your event. 

Cancellations from 6 to 12 months of your event your deposit is retained and half the remaining money of the full booking amount will be payable.

Cancellation within six to one month of your date, all monies retained by The Scarlett Ivy. 

This stands for garden lawn games hire and wedding decor bookings. 

Covid changes

If your event is cancelled due to government restrictions, your monies will transferred to your new date , this is only applicable with your existing plan at your original venue. 

In unforeseen circumstances, illness, extreme weather,  acts of god, in you cancelling monies are still payable The Scarlett Ivy.

If for any reason monies are not paid on time we reserve the right to decide what happens to hired items and items may be hired to other parties or may no longer be available and full booking fee will be retained, full payment from yourselves will still be payable.  If within the month of hire all monies paid to this point will be retained.

We at The Scarlett Ivy always recommend you have wedding insurance! 

if adverse weather conditions occur, design plans may have to change, and we retain the right to not have items outside and re plan the design.

In the event of extreme weather or road conditions which result in us being unable to safely deliver or collect the hire goods, we reserve the right to alter the arrangements for delivery or collection and shall not be liable to for any losses or costs to you that may arise as a result.

We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances that make your hire unviable for us, up to and including the day of your hire. We are the ruling party on deciding if the hire is unviable and we will not be liable for any compensation or additional costs you may incur as a result of our cancellation.

We carry out risk assessments for all our items to ensure they are handled and used correctly.

We may liase with the venue to check delivery and set up, take down arrangements are viable.  

If you are unhappy with any hire item or styling, you need to inform us within seven days of the date of the event. After this time no refund may be given and no refund may be asked for.

All equipment and hire items are the property of us and remain so at all times throughout your 

The owners of The Scarlett Ivy are not responsible for any injuries caused by any item hired. We are not responsible for any injury or damage to animals, property, persons or objects arising from the use of any equipment under hire. We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss, damage or additional costs that may arise as a result of the use of our hire items.

The Scarlett Ivy holds public liability insurance.
